How to take Tepotinib

Tepotinib is an oral tablet used to treat adult patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) usually 450 mg taken orally once daily with food. Take tepotinib at about the same time each day, carefully following the directions on your prescription label, and asking your doctor or pharmacist to explain any parts you don't understand. Take tepotinib exactly as directed, and do not take more or less than your doctor recommends.

Doctors will advise patients to swallow tepotinib tablets whole; do not cut, chew, or crush them. If the patient cannot swallow the tablet whole, place the tablet in a glass of 1 ounce (30 mL) of non-carbonated water. Do not use any other liquid except water. Stir until the tablets break into small tablets. Do not crush the tablets; they will not dissolve completely. Drink the mixture immediately or within 1 hour of preparation. Do not chew tablets. Rinse the glass with an additional 1 ounce (30 mL) of water and drink to ensure the patient has received the entire dose. If the patient has a nasogastric tube, the doctor or pharmacist will explain how to give tepotinib through the nasogastric tube.

The original drug Tepotinib is already on the market in China, but it is not yet eligible for medical insurance. Tepotinib Original drug currently marketed overseas is relatively expensive, and the price of each box of 225mg*30 tablets may be around RMB 80,000 (the price may fluctuate due to exchange rates). There are already generic Tepotinib drugs produced in other countries. The ingredients of these generic drugs are basically the same as those of the original drug, but the price is relatively cheap. For example, the price of 225mg*60 tablets produced by a Laos pharmaceutical factory may be more than 8,000 yuan per box (the price may fluctuate due to exchange rates).
