Vemurafenib is a cancer drug used to treat adults with melanoma that has spread to other parts of the body or cannot be removed with surgery. Your doctor may want to check for new skin lesions before treatment and every 2 months while you are using this drug.

3.This drug may cause severe types of allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis and drug reactions with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (Dressing syndrome). Anaphylaxis can be life-threatening and requires immediate medical attention. If you develop rash, itching, hoarseness, dizziness or lightheadedness, trouble breathing, swallowing, or swelling of your hands, face, or mouth after using this drug, contact your doctor immediately.

4.This medicine can cause serious skin reactions. If you develop blistering, peeling or loose skin, red lesions, severe acne or rash, skin sores or ulcers, or have fever or chills after using this medication, contact your doctor immediately.

5.This drug may change the heart rhythm, such as prolonging the QT interval. If you feel dizzy or faint, or if your heartbeat is fast, pounding, or uneven, contact your doctor immediately.

6.Contact your doctor immediately if you have upper abdominal pain or tenderness, lighter stools, darker urine, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, or yellowing of the eyes or skin. These may be symptoms of serious liver problems.

7.This medicine may make the skin more sensitive to sunlight. When outdoors, regularly use sunscreen or sunscreen lotion and lip balm with an SPF of at least 30. Wear protective clothing and a hat and avoid direct sunlight, especially between 10 am and 3 pm. Avoid sunlamps and sunbeds.

8.If you have blurred vision, difficulty reading, eye pain, or any other vision changes after taking this medicine, contact your doctor immediately.
