The latest directive from medical insurance: Avonib can be included in medical insurance
Ivosidenib (Ivosidenib) is used to treat a certain type of acute myeloid leukemia (AML; a cancer that starts in white blood cells) that has come back or has not improved after previous treatment. It can also be used alone or in combination with azacitidine (Onureg) as the first treatment for certain acute myeloid leukemias in adults over 75 years of age. Ivosidenib is also used in adults who have previously received treatment to treat a certain type of cholangiocarcinoma that has spread to nearby tissue or other parts of the body.
Avosidenib belongs to the IDH1 inhibitor class of drugs, which work by slowing or stopping the growth of cancer cells. Ivonib is available as an oral tablet. Usually taken once daily with or without food, but not with high-fat foods such as eggs, butter, full-fat dairy products (such as whole milk, cheese, and yogurt), fried foods, or fast food. Take ivosidenib at about the same time each day, and do not take more or less or more often than prescribed by your doctor. If you vomit after taking this dose, do not take another dose. Continue regular dosing schedule.
The original version of ivonib has been launched in China, but it is not covered by medical insurance. The price of domestically sold specifications0.25g*60 tablets per box is as high as 100,000 yuan, while the price of the original American version sold overseas is as high as more than 200,000 yuan per box (the price may fluctuate due to exchange rates). Generic drugs of Ivonib are also sold overseas. Their drug ingredients are basically the same as those of the original drugs sold domestically and abroad. For example, the price of 250mg*60 tablets produced by a Laos pharmaceutical factory may be more than 6,000 yuan per box (the price may fluctuate due to the exchange rate), and the price is relatively cheap.
