Domestic price of Natalizumab
Natalizumab, sold under the brand names Tysabri and others, is a drug used to treat multiple sclerosis and Crohn's disease. It is a humanized monoclonal antibody directed against the cell adhesion moleculeα4-integrin. Natalizumab is administered by intravenous infusion. The drug is thought to work by reducing the ability of inflammatory immune cells to attach to and cross the cells lining the gut and blood-brain barrier.

Natalizumab is a monoclonal antibody that targets a protein called α4β1 integrin on white blood cells involved in inflammation. By binding to integrins, natalizumab is thought to prevent white blood cells from entering brain and spinal cord tissue, thereby reducing inflammation and resulting neurological damage. The most common side effects of natalizumab are urinary tract infection, nasopharyngitis (inflammation of the nose and throat), headache, dizziness, nausea, joint pain, and fatigue. Natalizumab may cause a serious allergic reaction, which is most likely to occur within 2 hours of starting the infusion but may occur at any time during treatment.
If a patient is receiving natalizumab injectable product to treat Crohn's disease, their symptoms should improve within the first few months of treatment. If symptoms do not improve after 12 weeks of treatment, tell your doctor and your doctor may stop treatment with natalizumab.
Natalizumab's original patent drug is not on the market in China and cannot be included in medical insurance. The domestic price is still unknown. Currently, the generic drug natalizumab on the market overseas may cost more than 8,000 US dollars per box (the price may fluctuate due to exchange rates), which is very expensive.
