Eltrombopag/ Eltrombopag is available in two dosage forms: tablets and oral suspension powder. To ensure optimal efficacy, patients are generally advised to take it on an empty stomach each day, specifically at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal. In order to keep the blood drug concentration stable, it is best to take it at the same time every day. Patients must strictly follow the doctor's instructions and the instructions on the drug label when taking it. Using too high or too low a dose, or taking it more frequently than your doctor recommends, may affect the effectiveness of the treatment. Tablets should be swallowed whole and should not be cut, chewed or crushed, and should not be mixed with food or drinks.

Regarding diet, if the patient is about to consume calcium-rich foods (such as dairy products, calcium-fortified drinks, certain cereals and breads, etc.), it is recommended to take eltrombopag at least2 hours before eating or at least 4 hours after eating.
