Bosentan tablets side effects

Bosentan is used to treat patients with moderate pulmonary arterial hypertension and to reduce the number of digital ulcers (especially open wounds on the fingertips and, less commonly, on the knuckles) in patients with systemic scleroderma.

Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Seek medical treatment if you have a serious drug reaction that affects many parts of the body. Symptoms may include: rash, fever, swollen glands, muscle pain, severe weakness, unusual bruising, or yellowing of the skin or eyes.

Bosentan may cause serious side effects. Contact your doctor right away if you have: swelling of your legs or ankles, weight gain or lack of weight; dizziness, like you might pass out; low red blood cells (anemia) - pale skin, unusual tiredness, dizziness or shortness of breath, cold hands and feet; Liver problems - nausea, vomiting, fever, upper abdominal pain, tiredness, dark urine, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes); or new lung problems - anxiety, sweating, pale skin, severe shortness of breath, wheezing, wheezing, cough with frothy mucus, chest pain, fast or uneven heart rate.

Common side effects of bosentan may include: headache, joint pain; low blood pressure, fainting; flushing (heat, redness, or tingling sensation); irregular heartbeat; or cold symptoms such as nasal congestion, sinus pain, sneezing, or sore throat. This is not a complete list of side effects, and other side effects may occur. Regardless of any physical discomfort caused by the use of bosentan, the patient should seek medical treatment immediately.

These side effects may not occur in all patients and may vary from person to person. During the period of medication, patients should pay close attention to their body's reactions and report any symptoms of discomfort to their doctor in a timely manner. At the same time, use the medication as directed by your doctor and do not adjust the dosage or stop the medication on your own.
