Product name:RUBRACA
Other names: Rukapalli, Rukapalli, Rekkaprabhu, Rekkapani
2. Who can take rucapanib? Indications?
Rucaparib/Rucaparib is indicated for the treatment of the following conditions:
1. Maintenance treatment of BRCA-mutated recurrent ovarian cancer: Rucaparib is indicated for the maintenance treatment of adult patients with deleterious (germline and/or somatic)-associated recurrent epithelial ovarian cancer, fallopian tube cancer, or primary peritoneal cancer who have a complete or partial response to platinum-based chemotherapy.
BRCA-mutated metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC): Rucaparib is indicated for the treatment of adult patients with deleterious BRCA-mutated (germline and/or somatic) metastatic castration-resistant cancer who have received androgen receptor-directed therapy and taxane-based chemotherapy. Patients were selected for treatment based on U.S. Food and Drug Administration-approved diagnostic companion diagnostics for rucaparib.
3. What are the side effects of rucapanib?
The most common adverse reactions of rucapanib are nausea, fatigue/fatigue, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, taste disorder, dyspnea, dizziness, indigestion, photosensitivity reaction, constipation, rash, etc.

4. How should you take rucapanib?
Rucaparib is available as an oral tablet with a recommended dose of 600 mg (two 300 mg tablets) taken orally twice daily with or without food, for a total daily dose of 1200 mg. Continue treatment until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity. If the patient misses a dose of rucapanib, instruct the patient to take the next dose at the scheduled time. The promised dose should not be replaced. Patients receiving rucapanib for mCRPC should also receive concomitant gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) analog therapy or should undergo bilateral orchiectomy.
5. How to store Rucapani?
Rucaparib is available as200 mg, 250 mg and 300 mg tablets and can be stored at 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F); tolerance to 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F).
6. How does Rukapani work?
Rucapanib is an inhibitor of polyADP-ribose polymerase (PARP) enzymes, including PARP-1, PARP-2 and PARP-3, which play a role in DNA repair. In vivo studies indicate that rucapanib-induced cytotoxicity may involve inhibition of PARP enzyme activity and increased formation of PARP-DNA complexes, leading to DNA damage, apoptosis, and cancer cell death. Increased rucaparib-induced cytotoxicity and antitumor activity were observed in tumor cell lines lacking BRCA1/2 and other DNA repair genes. Rucaparib has been shown to reduce tumor growth in mouse xenograft models of human cancer with or without BRCA deficiency.
7. What will happen if you overdose on rucapanib?
There is no information regarding overdose with rucapanib.
