Efficacy of Lynparza (Olaparib, Lipadro) in the treatment of platinum-sensitive cases in patients with recurrent epithelial ovarian cancer
Olaparib (Olaparib, also known as Lipadrox) has significant efficacy in the treatment of platinum-sensitive cases in patients with recurrent epithelial ovarian cancer. As a PARP inhibitor, olaparib has a significant therapeutic effect on patients with platinum-sensitive recurrent epithelial ovarian cancer. It inhibits the activity of PARP enzyme and interferes with the DNA repair mechanism of tumor cells, thereby inducing tumor cell death and achieving the purpose of treating tumors.

Multiple clinical study data show that olaparib performs well in the treatment of platinum-sensitive recurrent epithelial ovarian cancer. For example, in a large clinical study, the progression-free survival (PFS) of the patient group treated with olaparib was significantly longer than that of the control group. Specific data show that the PFS of patients in the olaparib treatment group is several times that of the control group, which fully proves the superiority of olaparib in the treatment of platinum-sensitive cases.
For patients who carry BRCA gene mutations or positive homologous recombination repair defects (HRD), the efficacy of olaparib is more significant. These patients are more sensitive to PARP inhibitors such as olaparib due to genetic defects. Clinical studies have found that in such patients, olaparib can prolong PFS to a greater extent and reduce the risk of disease recurrence and progression.
In addition to its remarkable efficacy, olaparib also demonstrated good safety and tolerability. In multiple clinical studies, the incidence of adverse reactions in the olaparib treatment group was relatively low, and most adverse reactions were mild to moderate. This allows patients to better tolerate treatment, thereby improving quality of life.
