atFLAURA 2 Efficacy was evaluated in (NCT04035486), an open-label, randomized trial involving 557 EGFR exon 19 or exon 21 L858Rmutation-positivela/mNSCLC patients who have not received prior systemic treatment for advanced disease. Patients were randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive platinum-based osimertinib plus chemotherapy or osimertinib monotherapy.

The primary efficacy outcome measure is investigator-assessed progression-free survival (PFS), and overall survival (OS) is the key secondary outcome measure. Compared with osimertinib monotherapy, osimertinib combined with platinum-based chemotherapy improved PFSshowed a statistically significant improvement, with a hazard ratio of 0.62 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.49, 0.79; two-sided p values 0.0001). In the respective groups, the median PFS was 25.5 months (95% CI: 24.7, not estimable[NE]) and 16.7 months (95% CI: 14.1, 21.3).
