Deuterated colexitinib dosage and usage
Deucravacitinib (Deucravacitinib), as a new oral small molecule inhibitor, is mainly used to treat adult patients with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis.
The recommended dose of deuterated colexitinib is6 mg taken orally once daily. This dose is based on data from multiple clinical trials and can effectively control the symptoms of psoriasis while maintaining a good safety profile. During medication, doctors may adjust the dosage based on the patient's specific condition, treatment response, and safety assessment. However, for most patients, the initial dose, the recommended dose, will suffice.

No dose adjustment is required for patients with mild to moderate hepatic impairment, but deuterated colexitinib is not recommended for patients with severe hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh C grade). No dosage adjustment is recommended in patients with mild, moderate, or severe renal impairment, and in patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) receiving dialysis.
Deuterated colexitinib is an oral medication that can be taken once daily with or without food. This means that patients can flexibly schedule their medication according to their eating habits and do not need to take it strictly on an empty stomach or after a meal.
Tablets should not be crushed, cut, or chewed and should be swallowed whole to ensure proper release and absorption of the drug in the body. It is recommended that patients drink plenty of water while taking medication to reduce the occurrence of gastrointestinal discomfort. Patients with psoriasis should avoid prolonged exposure to the sun while taking deuterated colexitinib and take appropriate sun protection measures to prevent the onset or exacerbation of psoriasis caused by sunlight.
Patients should have regular blood tests and related tests to monitor drug efficacy and possible side effects. This is important for understanding disease progression and assessing the effectiveness of drug treatments. Patients should strictly follow the doctor's instructions during medication and do not change the dosage or stop medication at will. Any dosage adjustment or discontinuation should be made under the guidance of a physician.
