The side effects of selinesol tablets disappear in a few days

Selinexor (Selinexor) may cause a series of side effects when treating multiple myeloma (MM) and diffuse largeB-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). The onset, duration, and disappearance of these side effects vary among individual patients, but generally speaking, many adverse effects are reversible and can be alleviated with appropriate management and supportive care.

One of the first adverse effects is hematological toxicity, including thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, and anemia. These hematological changes may begin early in the course of treatment, with symptoms usually becoming most apparent within a few days. For most patients, these hematologic toxicities will gradually improve upon discontinuation of the drug or dose reduction, generally taking days to weeks to return to normal levels. Regular blood routine monitoring is essential in order to detect these changes in time and take appropriate measures.

In addition, non-hematological toxicity is also a common adverse reaction during the use of selinesol tablets, including nausea, vomiting, decreased appetite, weight loss, diarrhea, hyponatremia and fatigue. These symptoms usually appear within a day or two after the drug is administered, especially in the early stages of starting treatment. After most patients experience initial discomfort, these symptoms gradually improve with continued supportive care, usually disappearing within a few days to a week. Nausea and vomiting, in particular, can be controlled by adjusting diet and using anti-nausea medications to improve patient tolerance and quality of life.

Additionally, monitoring for hyponatremia is important, especially in patients receiving long-term selinesol. Hyponatremia may cause symptoms such as dizziness and fatigue. These symptoms usually improve after adequate salt supplementation or other adjustments, and are usually relieved within a few days.
