Fostamatinib usage and dosage

Fostamatinib(fostamatinib) is a drug used to treat adults with low platelet counts due to chronic immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) who have not responded to previous ITP treatments. Chronic immune thrombocytopenia is an autoimmune bleeding disorder in which the blood does not clot properly due to a low platelet count.

Fostatinib is available as an oral tablet. Usually taken twice daily with or without food. Take fostatinib at about the same time each day. Fostatinib is available as an oral tablet. The starting dose of fostatinib is 100 mg orally twice daily. After one month, if the platelet count has not increased to at least 50 Use the lowest dose of fostatinib as needed to achieve and maintain a platelet count of at least 50 x 10⁹/L to reduce the risk of bleeding. Fostatinib can be taken with food or alone.

The most common side effects of fostatinib are diarrhea, high blood pressure, nausea, respiratory tract infection, dizziness, elevated liver enzymes, rash, abdominal pain, fatigue, chest pain, and decreased white blood cell count.
