Is cimepilimab an imported drug? Is it available in China?

Cemiplimab (Cemiplimab) is a new immune checkpoint inhibitor mainly used to treat various types of cancer. Especially in locally advanced or spread basal cell carcinoma and cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma, the drug has demonstrated significant therapeutic effects. In addition, cimepilimab is also used to treat non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), especially in adult patients with positive PD-L1 expression and no mutations in the EGFR, ALK or ROS1 genes. In overseas markets, cimepilimab has been approved and is available in the US and European versions. The common specification is350mg/7mL (50mg/mL). According to the market price, the cost of cimipilimab may vary due to exchange rate fluctuations, usually between RMB 40,000 and RMB 100,000. This high price undoubtedly places a financial burden on many patients in need of treatment. At the same time, there are currently no generic versions of cimepilimab on the market.
