Linezolid dosing guidelines for drug-resistant tuberculosis
For adults with drug-resistant tuberculosis, such as rifampicin-resistant tuberculosis (RR-TB), multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) and extensively drug-resistant tuberculosis (RR-TB) span> This dose helps to quickly reach effective blood concentrations, thereby producing a powerful bactericidal effect on drug-resistant tuberculosis bacteria.
After 4 to 6 weeks of initial treatment, the dose may be adjusted to 600mg/ times but reduced to 1 times daily. Such adjustments are intended to maintain continued suppression of germs while reducing adverse reactions in patients.
If the patient experiences serious adverse reactions during treatment, such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, etc., the dose can be further reduced to 300mg/day, or even the medication can be suspended. After the adverse reactions subside, resume medication according to your doctor's recommendations. The recommended duration of the entire course of treatment is 9 to 24 months, which is determined based on the patient’s recovery and the doctor’s guidance.

The recommended dose of linezolid for children over 12 years of age is 10 mg/kg, taken every 8 hours, but the total daily dose should not exceed 900mg. For children 10 to 12 years old, the dose is also 10mg/kg, but the frequency of taking is reduced to once every 12 hours, and the total daily dose should not exceed 600mg. For children under 12 years of age, the recommended dose is 10 mg/kg every 8 hours, but the total daily dose should not exceed 600mg.
If the patient also suffers from other infectious diseases, such as complicated skin and skin and soft tissue infections, community-acquired pneumonia, etc., the doctor may adjust the dosage and treatment plan according to the specific situation.
Patients should pay close attention to the side effects and adverse reactions of the drug during medication and report them to the doctor in a timely manner. Use medications strictly according to your doctor's recommendations, and do not change the dosage or stop medication without authorization.
