Is nintedanib a soft capsule?

Nintedanib (Nintedanib) is a drug used to treat certain types of lung disease. It is usually available as an ethanesulfonate salt and is mainly available in soft capsule form. This dosage form design also helps improve patient compliance, as softgels are generally easier to swallow.

From the composition point of view, the inactive ingredients of nintedanib soft capsules include filling materials and capsule shells. Among them, the filling materials mainly include triglycerides, hard fat and lecithin. These ingredients not only help to improve the solubility of the drug, but also stabilize the structure of the drug. The capsule shell is composed of gelatin, glycerin, titanium dioxide and some color additives (such as iron oxide red, iron oxide yellow and black ink). These ingredients ensure the integrity and appearance of the capsule.

For storage, nintedanib should be maintained within a temperature range of 20°C to 25°C, with an allowed deviation of 15°C to 30°C. This temperature control requirement is to ensure the stability and effectiveness of the drug. At the same time, nintedanib should be avoided from being exposed to high humidity environments to prevent degradation or failure of the drug. Also, if repackaging is required, be sure to use airtight containers to ensure its quality.
