Supplies needed to take BETHKIS (Tobramycin Inhalation Solution) (see Figure A):

1 ampoule BETHKIS

PARI LC PLUS Reusable Nebulizer

PARI Vios compressor

Pipeline connecting atomizer and compressor

Cleaning paper or cloth

Nose clip (optional)

BETHKIS (Tobramycin Inhalation Solution) is for use only with PARI LC PLUS reusable nebulizer connected to PARI LC PLUS Vios air compressor. Before using a nebulizer for breathing in BETHKIS, make sure you know how to use a nebulizer.

Do not mix BETHKIS with other medications in the nebulizer.

BETHKIS comes in a sealed aluminum foil bag. Do not open the sealed bag until you are ready to take a dose of BETHKIS (tobramycin inhalation solution). After opening the bag, unused ready-to-use ampoules should be returned to the bag and stored.

Preparation:

Place the PARI LC PLUS reusable nebulizer top and bottom (nebulizer cup) components, inhalation valve cover, valved mouthpiece and tubing on a clean, dry surface.

Wash your hands with soap and water.

To prepare a dose of BETHKIS:

Step 1: Open the foil bag. (See Figure B)

Step 2: Gently pull the bottom tab (see Figure C) to detach 1 ampoule and use immediately.

Step 3: Hold the BETHKIS ampoule by the bottom tab with one hand (see Figure D). Hold the top of the ampoule with your other hand and twist the top of the ampoule (see Figure D).

Do not squeeze the ampoule until you are ready to squeeze all of the medication into the nebulizer cup.

Step 4: Hold the atomizer cup and rotate the top of the atomizer cup counterclockwise (see Figure E). Place the topping on a clean, dry surface.

Step 5: Squeeze all the medication in the ampoule into the nebulizer cup (see Figure F).

Step 6: Align the semicircle on the top of the atomizer cup with the atomizer cup outlet, and twist the top of the atomizer cup clockwise until it is tight. (See Figure G).

Step 7: Push the nozzle directly onto the atomizer cup outlet (see Figure H).

Step 8: Push the inhalation valve cap straight down to the top of the atomizer cup (see Figure I). The suction valve cap should fit snugly.

Step 9: Connect one end of the pipe to the compressor outlet. The piping should fit tightly (see Figure J).

Step 10: Plug the compressor into the electrical outlet (see Figure K).

Step 11: Hold the atomizer cup vertically and push the free end of the tube directly upwards onto the air inlet at the bottom of the atomizer cup (see Figure L). Make sure the sprayer cup is upright.

Give BETHKIS dosage:

Step 12: Turn on the compressor (Figure M) and check the suction nozzle. You should see a steady stream of mist coming from the mouthpiece (Figure N).

If you don't see a steady stream of mist coming from the nozzle, check all pipe connections and make sure the compressor is working properly.

Step 13: Sit or stand in a comfortable upright position so you can breathe normally. Place your mouthpart between your teeth and on top of your tongue and breathe normally through your mouth only (see Figure O).

Nose clips can help you breathe only through your mouth instead of through your nose.

Step 14: Breathe in the dose of BETHKIS (Tobramycin Inhalation Solution) for at least 15 minutes. You will know you have received a full dose of medication when you hear a "spitting" sound from the mouthpiece for at least 1 minute and the nebulizer cup is empty.

After administration of BETHKIS:

Step 15: Clean and Disinfect the Nebulizer
