Experimental results on chromosomal aberrations and gene mutations in mammalian cells show that defibrinated sodium has no mutagenic risk and can antagonize the mutagenic activity of certain chemical carcinogens (dimethylbenzanthracene, daunorubicin, and benzopyrene).
