So, how much should Enrig be used?

Dosage of Enrige: Recommended for patients with iron accumulation, such as those who require long-term blood transfusion (blood transfusion volume up to 100 ml/kg) and whose serum ferritin exceeds 1000 μg/L; corresponding to body weight.

In the early stage of taking Enrig dispersible tablets: It is recommended to take a daily dose of 20 mg/kg of Enrig. Depending on the improvement of serum ferritin indicators, patients may need to adjust or increase the dose of Enrig. Generally, the dose will be increased in units of 5 mg/kg or 10 mg/kg, but the total dose should not exceed 30 mg/kg per day.

Enriga should be taken once a day on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before a meal, preferably at the same time each day. Tablets should not be chewed or swallowed whole. Enrig dispersible tablets should not be taken together with aluminum-containing antacids, and the dosage (mg/kg) needs to be calculated and rounded to the nearest whole tablet. Completely dissolve the tablets in water, apple juice or orange juice (100-200mL) by stirring until a clear suspension is obtained and then drink it. The remaining medicine must be added with a small amount of water, apple juice or orange juice and mixed well before being taken. Not recommended for dissolution in carbonated drinks or milk as it can cause foaming and slow dispersion.

When taking Enriga, some adverse reactions will inevitably occur. Usually these common adverse reactions include: diarrhea, vomiting, headache, abdominal pain, fever, rash, increased serum creatinine (Creatinine), etc.

Other adverse reactions include: increased liver enzymes, cough, throat inflammation, and urticaria. In addition, dispersible tablets should not be taken together with drugs containing aluminum (such as gastric acid neutralizers).
