Usage and dosage:

1. 1. Tablets should be swallowed whole with liquid and should not be chewed or crushed. 2. For patients with dysphagia, the tablets can be dissolved in half a cup of carbonate-free water (other liquids should not be used as the enteric coating may be dissolved), stir until the tablets are completely disintegrated, take it immediately or within 30 minutes, then add half a cup of water to rinse and drink. Pellets should never be chewed or crushed. 3. For patients who cannot swallow, the tablets can be dissolved in carbonate-free water and administered through a gastric tube. It is important to carefully check the fit of the syringe and gastric tube selected.

2. Administration through gastric tube: 1. Put the tablet into a suitable syringe, and add about 25 mL of water and 5 mL of air. Sometimes 50 mL of water is needed to prevent the tube from becoming clogged with pellets. 2. Immediately shake the syringe for about 2 minutes to dissolve the tablet. 3. Place the tip of the syringe upward and check that the tip is not blocked. 4. Insert the syringe into the tube and maintain this position. 5. Shake the syringe so that the tip points downward. Immediately inject 5-10 mL into the tube. Turn the syringe over and shake after injection (the syringe must be kept tip up to avoid tip clogging). 6. With the tip of the syringe facing down, immediately inject another 5-10 mL into the tube. Repeat this step until there is no liquid in the syringe. 7. If you need to wash off the remaining residue in the syringe, repeat step 5 and add 25 mL of water and 5 mL of air to the syringe. Sometimes 50 mL of water is needed.

3. Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)-erosive reflux esophagitis: 1. 40 mg, once a day, for four weeks. 2. For patients whose esophagitis has not been cured or who have persistent symptoms, it is recommended to take medication for another four weeks. 3. Long-term maintenance treatment for cured esophagitis patients to prevent recurrence is 20 mg once a day.

4. Symptom control of gastroesophageal reflux disease: 1. For patients without esophagitis, take 20 mg once a day. If symptoms are not controlled after 4 weeks of medication, the patient should undergo further examination. Once symptoms resolve, subsequent symptom control can be achieved with on-demand therapy, i.e., 20 mg orally once daily as needed. Combined with appropriate antibacterial therapy to eradicate Helicobacter pylori, heal duodenal ulcers related to Helicobacter pylori, and prevent the recurrence of peptic ulcers related to Helicobacter pylori, Nexium magnesium enteric-coated tablets 20 mg + amoxicillin 1g + clarithromycin 500 mg, twice a day for 7 days.
