Nexium Esomeprazole Magnesium Enteric Coated Tablets

Esomeprazole is the levorotatory isomer of omeprazole. It has a fast onset and good acid-suppressing effect. It is used to treat reflux esophagitis. It is used alone or in combination with digestive tract prokinetic drugs or digestive tract mucosal protective agents. The efficacy is better than other PPIs (esomeprazole, lansoprazole, omeprazole, pantoprazole, rabeprazole). It is safe and effective for reflux esophagitis in the elderly and reflux esophagitis in children.

Nexium Esomeprazole Magnesium Enteric-Coated Tablets are suitable for:

1. Treatment of erosive reflux esophagitis;

2. Long-term maintenance treatment to prevent recurrence of cured esophagitis patients;

3. Symptom control of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) combined with appropriate antimicrobial therapy to eradicate Helicobacter pylori;

4. Heal duodenal ulcers related to Helicobacter pylori infection;

5. Prevent the recurrence of peptic ulcer related to Helicobacter pylori.

How to use Nexium Esomeprazole Magnesium Enteric-Coated Tablets: Tablets should be swallowed whole with liquid and should not be chewed or crushed. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

1. For the treatment of erosive reflux esophagitis, take 40 mg once a day for four weeks.

2. For patients whose esophagitis has not been cured or who have persistent symptoms, it is recommended to take medication for another four weeks. Long-term maintenance treatment for cured esophagitis patients to prevent recurrence, 20 mg once daily.

3. For symptom control of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) without esophagitis, take 20 mg once a day. If symptoms are not controlled after 4 weeks of medication, the patient should undergo further examination. Once symptoms have resolved, subsequent symptom control can be achieved with immediate therapy, i.e. 20 mg orally once daily as needed.

4. Combined with appropriate antibacterial therapy to eradicate Helicobacter pylori, heal duodenal ulcers related to Helicobacter pylori, and prevent the recurrence of peptic ulcers related to Helicobacter pylori, esomeprazole tablets 20 mg + amoxicillin 1g + clarithromycin 500 mg, twice a day for a total of 7 days.
