【Indications】

Berostat capsule Orladeyo is a plasma kallikrein inhibitor. Berostat capsule Orladeyo can prevent hereditary angioedema (HAE) in adults and pediatric patients over 12 years of age.

【Usage and Dosage】

Recommended dosage of Orladeyo: take one capsule (150 mg) once daily with food.

【Adverse reactions】

The most common adverse reactions of Berostat capsule Orladeyo include: abdominal pain/vomiting/diarrhea/back pain/gastroesophageal reflux disease, etc.

【Notes】

Patients who take more than one Orladeyo capsule a day may experience QT prolongation, a condition that can lead to abnormal heartbeats.

Drug Interactions: Inform patients that Orladeyo capsules may interact with other drugs. Advise patients to report the use of any other prescription or over-the-counter medications or herbal products to their physician.

Berostat capsules Orladeyo should not be used to treat acute attacks of hereditary angioedema (HAE). And patients are not advised to take additional doses or doses higher than 150 mg of Orladeyo once daily. A concentration-dependent increase in QT was observed at doses above the recommended daily dose of 150 mg of Orladeyo.

Berostat Capsules Orladeyo are not suitable for the acute treatment of acute ischemic encephalopathy attacks: patients are advised to take commonly used rescue drugs for the treatment of acute ischemic encephalopathy attacks. Inform patients that the safety and effectiveness of using Orladeyo as an acute treatment for hereditary angioedema HAE attacks has not been established.

Orladeyo should be stored at 20ºC to 25ºC (68ºF to 77ºF). The allowed offset range is 15ºC to 30ºC (59ºF to 86ºF).
