Contraindications to the use of ruxolitinib cream are that it is not recommended to use this product in combination with therapeutic biologics, other JAK inhibitors, or strong immunosuppressives (such as azathioprine or cyclosporine).

Avoid use of ruxolitinib cream in patients with active serious infections, including localized infections. Before initiating treatment with ruxolitinib cream in patients who:

1. Accompanied by chronic or recurrent infection;

2. Have a history of serious or opportunistic infections;

3. People who have been exposed to tuberculosis;

4. People who have lived or traveled in areas where tuberculosis is endemic or endemic fungal diseases; or who have underlying diseases that may make them susceptible to infection.

5. Monitor patients closely for the development of signs and symptoms of infection during and after treatment with ruxolitinib cream. Ruxolitinib cream should be discontinued if the patient develops severe infection, opportunistic infection, or sepsis.

Monitor patients for the development of signs and symptoms of tuberculosis during use. Consider evaluating patients for latent and active tuberculosis infection before administering ruxolitinib cream.

If a patient develops herpes zoster, discontinuation of ruxolitinib cream therapy should be considered until the episode resolves.

It is not recommended to initiate use in patients with active hepatitis B or hepatitis C. In patients with chronic HBV infection taking ruxolitinib, hepatitis B viral load (HBV-DNA titer) increased, with or without increases in alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase.

Avoid use of ruxolitinib cream in patients at increased risk of thrombosis. If symptoms of thrombosis occur, discontinue ruxolitinib cream and evaluate and treat the patient appropriately.

Side effects of ruxolitinib cream include pain or swelling in the nose or throat (nasopharyngitis), diarrhea, increased eosinophil (a type of white blood cell) count, urticaria, folliculitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis, ear infection, runny nose, etc. The side effects of ruxolitinib cream vary depending on the patient's constitution and condition, and some patients may develop serious infections, malignant tumors, cardiovascular events, and thrombosis.
