Delgocitinib ointment (Delgocitinib) is a topical Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitor for the treatment of patients with atopic dermatitis 16 years of age and older and adult patients with moderate to severe chronic hand eczema who are unresponsive or unsuitable for topical corticosteroid treatment.

Side effects of Delgocitinib ointment

Common side effects

In clinical studies, adverse reactions with an incidence rate of ≥1% include:

1. Application site reactions (pain, paresthesia, itching, erythema).

2. Bacterial skin infection (referred to as cellulitis).

3. Paronychia.

4. Other skin infections.

5. Leukopenia.

6. Neutropenia.

Other systemic side effects

Dermatology

1. Non-melanoma skin cancer (such as basal cell carcinoma).

2. Herpetic eczema.

3. Bacterial skin infection (including cellulitis).

4. Paronychia.

Hematology system

1. Leukopenia.

2. Neutropenia.

Local reactions

1. Common (1% - 10%): Application site reactions, including pain, paresthesia, itching, and erythema.

2. Others: viral reactivation (including herpes virus reactivation, such as herpes zoster).
